Rule types
Every condition. One link.
Stack rules by priority - country, device, schedule, or split test. First match wins.
Country
Route by country with built-in GeoIP - no external service required.
Device
Phone, tablet, or desktop - send each to the right destination.
Schedule
Weekly windows and fixed date ranges that auto-expire.
A/B split
Stable per-visitor assignment across two landing pages.
Capabilities
One link, many destinations
A single short URL can behave differently by visitor. Mobile users go to your app store, US visitors see your US store, and everyone else lands on your global site - all managed from one dashboard.
- Country rules with built-in GeoIP detection
- Device rules for phone, tablet, and desktop
- Weekly schedules and fixed date ranges
- Combine conditions (e.g. US + mobile + business hours)
- A/B split tests with stable per-visitor assignment
Use cases
When to use smart routing
Smart routing shines when one campaign link needs to adapt. Product launches, regional promos, and bio links that split app vs web are the most common use cases.
- Product launch: app store on mobile, website on desktop
- Regional campaigns: country-specific landing pages
- Limited promos: date-range rules that auto-expire
- A/B testing: split traffic between two landing pages
Campaigns
Built for high-stakes campaigns
When one wrong redirect costs conversions, you need rules that execute instantly - not a spreadsheet of UTM hacks.
Product launch
App store on mobile, website on desktop - one link everywhere.
Regional campaigns
US visitors to your US store, everyone else to global.
Limited promos
Date-range rules that shut off when the offer ends.
A/B testing
Split traffic between two pages and measure what converts.
FAQ
Do I need to code to set up routing?
No. Open any link in your dashboard, choose Set routing rules, pick a rule type, and save. Rules are checked in priority order.
How does country detection work?
Linky uses proxy headers when available and falls back to a built-in GeoIP database. It works on a standard VPS without extra setup.
